Do you want to be like Mark David Chapman? Of course you do. Print out this handy dandy A-10 schedule, pretend it's the Catcher in the Rye and drive to Newport News. Once there, wait for Bernadette McGlade to come out of her ivory tower. Whatever happens next is completely up to you.
This Atlantic 10 schedule thingy comes from reader David H.
He writes:
In my boredom, I have made an Excel file similar to that of the NCAA helmet schedule that is produced every year and dispersed on the web. This A10 version includes both OOC and Conference games for all 14 teams. I thought it would be something that fellow A10 fans would enjoy so I am offering to share it with the Blackburn Review. I have not been able to find a way to post the document online, but I figured you guys might have a place to post it on the site. The file is currently set up to print to two 11x17 pages.
So there you go. White folks, print this shit out and let's fucking party. I have no idea what this is...

Someone will explain this to me right? or am I going to have to bring a suitcase bomb into our boardroom?
Looking at this has been the most wasted 2 minutes i've ever spent on this site. Seriously. The only thing i'm more sure of is that Chris Rieman will have a laminated copy at the first Flyer Feedback show.
Someone help me out -- Chris Rieman?
@ShroyerFlyer: It's hard to imagine that any time spent on this site isn't a waste.

^So, in other words, Ham-n-Egger Numero Uno?
Article on Luke Fab in the paper today, anyone see it? He led the team last year in 3 point FG %, which is scary, absurd, and hilarious all in one on a team with 27 wins and a first round win over a big east squad. I thought he would transfer after last year, and at the beginning of this year, thought he would be gone.
My question, at what FG% and PPG does Luke become a legit player on this team and not just some crazy white guy who likes to jack from 30? As much as I was skeptical of him last year, if he can shoot 45% from deep and make around 60 threes, he becomes a huge threat. This is assuming also that he isn't beaten defensively as much as O'Brien's johnson after sitting in a corner at Tim's watching 19 year olds lose any dignity that still remains after they consciously made a decision to wear a t-shirt and nothing else to a bar.
He is legitimate if he can go 42% from three and grab two to three rebounds per game this season at a 12-15 minute clip per game ... putting him on the floor too long to not be legit.
The problem with Luke last year wasn't his shooting percentage, it was his timing and choice of shots coupled with his lack of any skill beyond hoisting up a three the second he stepped on the court. Everytime he came off the bench, he came off the bench shooting, and was quickly sent right back to the bench after missing three shots. For every game good game he had (like Duquense March 7th, 5-8 in 19 minutes from deep), he had three terrible performances (like UMASS 2-8 in 12 minutes or 0-4 against Akron in 11 minutes). While its true that sometimes BG put him out there are a way of making up point quickly, he just didn't have the icecold blood to perform yet. In order for him to be "legit", he has to show skills beyond the ability to take a jump shot everytime he gets the ball. I'd like to see a more rounded game from Luke and have him be more consistent from three point range. Sure he's going to have some bad games and I can live with that, but last year he was a one trick pony who could only do the trick once a month.
@ O'Brien: I disagree with the rounded out game. He is never going to be a Steve Novak kind of player. He is a circus act, just keep him that way. I do agree that his shot selection was horrible. Makes me think though, if he can understand when to shoot, can he be a real weapon? Just have him hang out around the 3 line, but make sure he is taking better shots. If he can shoot 45% he is a huge threat making around 3 a game.
If I am BG, I tell Luke he needs to play okay defense against the other teams worst player for 12-15 minutes per game. Give him the green light, but let him know that he has no use if he isn't knocking them down.
I like the fact that BG recognizes that Luke was a one-trick pony last year. I know Luke supposedly put on some weight this year, which I guess means he is going to be more physical? I don't buy it, the dude just doesn't have any heart. He is going to remain stationed outside the three-point line, watching the action--hoping someone will feed him the ball.
I'm with Daddy D, anything less than 45% from Luke means he is stealing valuable minutes from someone who can play both sides of the floor.
I don't disagree with either of you, but for me to consider him legit, he has to be able to do something other than shoot the three.
He's gotta pick at least one other valuable skill and work on it. If it isn't playing the post or rebounding or defense, then he better be able to make BG a damn good manhattan on the bench.
To be truly legit Luke needs to shoot some fool who disses his mama. Then he will have earned his gold teeth and record album.
Word.
^And the tats. Can't forget the huge, Jimmy-Binnie tattoos. No basketball player is legit until he's earned his ink.
