The Atlantic Ten imploded on Wednesday night, as George Washington, Rhode Island and even VCU were taken down by lesser foes (GW’s loss being the most egregious, a sixteen point loss to Duquesne). The result is a four-way tie for first — UD, UMass, Rhode Island and VCU share top billing going into this weekend. Needless to say, things appear to be trending in Dayton’s direction.
Sam Vecenie (?) has a pretty good breakdown of the conference race over at CBSSports.com. Here’s the excerpt on UD:
Fairly sensible analysis, can’t say I disagree. As Vecenie (seriously, anybody every heard of this fucking guy?) writes, the Flyers should be 12-3 heading into the game with VCU. That would mean victories at home against the Bonnies, Saint Joe’s, a roadie vs. Duquesne (aka The Blackburn Review Field Trip) and finishing George Mason off at home on the 25th of February. Very doable.
However, this is Dayton basketball, expect the unexpected. By no means should you expect the Flyers to simply cruise through the next four games. Being a Dayton fan is akin to recovering from drugs and/or alcohol, one day at a time. There is no looking ahead when you follow this program, if you don’t know that you aren’t a true Daytona Flier backer.

Bonaventure has put together a string of solid performances over the past two weeks — wins against Davidson and VCU with a close loss against UMass throw in for good measure. The Bonnies should finish comfortably on the right side of the standings. I don’t have much else to say on the subject, just trying to crank this Recon out as quickly as a I can.
My hope is that Wright broke into some girl’s room and shot this picture with a friend of his.
Out for the rest of the season with a injured finger or something. Here he is posing for Hollister.
Question: is this a selfie? Did he purposely cock his head for this?
When I first saw this picture I thought he was wearing a gold chain.

Never bet against the quiet guy and never bet against Dayton at home. Marcus Posley misses a buzzer-beater and the Flyers remain in first place.
