Your Dayton Flyers have released the totality (basically) of their non-conference schedule.  Most of the slate has been public for a few weeks, UD filled in the remaining pieces this afternoon.

From the horse’s mouth:

DAYTON, Ohio – Home games against Arkansas and Alabama, a trip to the AdvoCare Invitational and a road game at Vanderbilt the 2015-16 University of Dayton men’s basketball non-conference schedule.

The Flyers’ non-conference slate will include eight home games, one on the road and three neutral site games in Orlando.

UD opens the regular season with three straight home games starting on Friday, Nov. 13 against the Southeast Missouri Redhawks.

The Flyers host the Alabama Crimson Tide on Tuesday, Nov. 17 and then close the opening stretch on Saturday, Nov. 21 against an opponent to be determined.

Over Thanksgiving weekend (Nov. 26, 27 & 29), Dayton will compete in the 2015 AdvoCare Invitational. The field includes Alabama, Dayton, Iowa, Monmouth, Notre Dame, Southern California, Wichita State and Xavier. This will be Dayton’s first appearance at the event since winning the tournament in 2011. ESPN has not officially released the matchups.

Dayton returns home to host an NCAA Tournament team from 2015, the North Florida Ospreys on Saturday, Dec. 5. UD will then face its second SEC opponent, the Vanderbilt Commodores, in Nashville on Wednesday, Dec. 9

The Flyers close the non-conference schedule with four consecutive contests at UD Arena starting with a game versus the Chattanooga Mocs on Saturday, Dec. 12. After a week break for finals, UD hosts the Furman Paladins on Saturday, Dec. 19 and the Miami RedHawks on Tuesday, Dec. 22.

The non-conference schedule concludes with a home game against the Arkansas Razorbacks on Wednesday, Dec. 30.

The A-10 will announce a full schedule with dates later in the summer.

In league play, the Flyers will play Duquesne, La Salle, Rhode Island, St. Bonaventure and Saint Louis home-and-home, and will also host regular season champion Davidson, George Washington, UMass and tournament champion VCU.  Dayton will visit Fordham, George Mason, Richmond and Saint Joseph’s.

The schedule has some decent balance, a few high-majors with good name recognition, a couple of solid mids…and Miami. Kudos to the school for playing Miami a few days before Christmas, almost ensuring that the least amount of eyes as possible will watch the Flyers face off with the RedHawks.

UD will take on Alabama as part of ESPN’s 24-hour marathon on November 17th at 1 pm. That will be a day of drunkening.
