If No One Watches a Game…

Most of you missed this one, and that’s okay. If there was a game to skip this season, this was probably it. The game was a complete and utter mismatch from the word go. Jordan Sibert’s short slump is officially buried, the senior led all scorers with 22 points on 7-of-11 shooting (including a 4-of-6 effort from behind the three-point line). Devon Scott picked up his game and carried it outside to the curb dropping a double-double (13 and 10) on the afternoon. Scoochie Smith hit not one, but TWO three pointers — which is an indication to put the lights out.

Kendall Pollard hit a three, Bobby Wehrli scored as much as Dyshawn Pierre and Joey Gruden racked up two minutes of playing time. That’s the type of shit-show the Flames of UIC were at the Arena today. Illinois-Chicago shot just 28% from the field, which seems impossible given the state of college basketball defending these days. Flyers, as promised, win a laugher, 75-41.

So to quickly sum up, no one watched this game, no one read this recap and the Flyers move to 4-1 on the young season.

The Flyers face Miami this Wednesday.
