I’m pretty sure the Red Scare and the SLU student sections started a twitter fight last year, and then decided they would create the Arch Baron Cup. Here’s a link to the Red Scare with the cup .

This whole craft beer dispute is somewhat amusing, except that you keep talking about it. Maybe it has something to do with Blackburn’s interaction with craft beer as a “New York value”. In the Midwest, I tend the appeal is more due to locally-made sentiments. So in Chicago, I’ll have a 312 or Green Line. If I’m visiting Cleveland, pour me a Burning River or Edmund Fitzgerald. Next time you visit Dayton, you should check out the Warped Wing Brewery. It’s less about craft beer snobbery than I think it is an overdue economic recovery from Prohibition and rebuilding of a local pub culture. Also, whereas the NY Values bit is exhaustin, it’s quite reasonable that most Flyers will feel different than Blackburn on this topic. Afterall, the Midwest was a brewer’s paradise before Prohibition, in no small part due to the “German Triangle” made up of Cinninnati, Milwaukee and St. Louis.
