It took us two days, no one ended up writing a recap at all, but we did deliver the year’s best (and longest) podcast to you.
The first 30 minutes of the cast open up with a tirade about separating your Ohio State football and Dayton basketball fandom, and quickly shift to the Dirt Road Johnson situation. After the boys talk that to death – they quickly move on to discussing the last two Flyers wins against St. Joe’s and LaSalle.
At the 38 minute mark, Sully starts his interview with NBC Sports’ Rob Dauster, who hosts the College Basketball Talk Podcast. Rob covers college basketball nationally and you can find any of his stuff right here.
The interview starts with POY of the year chatter for Obi Toppin, and Sully eventually inquires about Rob having an AP vote, what that entails, and if the system is broken. Rob learns a few inside jokes about the A10, makes enemies with another conference foe and finishes with a story about John Miller throwing back a few cold ones before a Flyers game years ago. One message is echoed between Blackburn and Dauster despite not recording at the same time for the episode.
It’s very long, we’re sorry, but you know if the show is lengthy…we gave you a good show. This is our best of the season to date. The origin of LOWD is discussed at the end if you stick around for the end, promise.
Curry Hicks Sage , the Godfather of UMass twitter, will be joining the show before the end of the week to preview the Flyers next test this upcoming weekend.
Wear red, be #LOWD. We’re doing two casts in one week.
The LOWD ambassador of Chicago, Sully has spent his life tirelessly watching UD hoops. Welcomer of all takes, hot and cold.
