In what some have called the best episode of the season to date, Michael “Never Nervous” Purves joins the gang to reminiscence on the Flyers biggest win of the season thus far.
Sully opens the cast urging fans to not judge a fanbase by a few bad eggs, and the boys quickly shift to their takeaways from Tuesday nights triumph in The Arena. Purves mentions the intensity on the floor in the second half, Drew mentions the noise in the building, and the Chicago boys paint the scene at Glascotts for the listeners.
After the boys finish up on the post-VCU breakdown, the show quickly shifts to an interview with SLU super fan, Zac Miller, host of The House that Rick Built podcast, and a SLU grad as well as St. Louis lifer. Zac tells the listeners of the journey the Billikens took last year to get into the dance, and his wild road trip to Brooklyn, before getting to the game on Friday.
The cast finishes up with an A10 rundown, the return of the Hickory BBQ Hot take segment, as well as a rousing round of trivia. Purves closes the show with his story of meeting Verne Lundquist in Atlantic City, and Drew finds this as an opportune time to take the listeners out with The Band.
Wear red, stay LOWD, see you Friday.
